When it comes to sports photography, we tend to photograph the things we love to see and do. As a skier for the past 40 years, I love to ski the day with friends and let it rip. My other passion of course is photography. The two would seem togo hand in hand but it's tough to do both of them at the same time. Hmmmmm?, Skiing? Photography? What a fun dilemma.

It's always exciting to see great skiers out there and capturing them having a great time. In the photo above, the subject skier of the day (Taylor Doering: CSIA Level 4) demonstrates some smooth skiing in a foot of powder..

The fun part about shooting this was I got to go first down the powder and make first tracks before taking the photos. Remember, "there are no friends on a powder day ".
